Toronto, Canada: PhenoTips is proud to announce the company’s 2024 Human Resources Director (HRD) award naming the company one of 46 best places to work in Canada. This recognition is received just 6 months after PhenoTips’ accolade as one of 200 Best Canadian Startup Employers, marking a decade of commitment to employee growth and wellbeing as the company celebrates its 10th anniversary.

HRD Canada’s third annual Best Places to Work selected the 46 winning employers in a two-step process. The first step was an in-depth submission detailing employee engagement, turnover rates, average tenure of staff, compensation and benefits, health and wellness programs, diversity initiatives, professional development, corporate culture, flexible work options, reward and recognition, and green programs. Organizations that qualified following the submission were required to meet a 75% Employee Satisfaction Score in an internal survey measuring metrics known to drive employee satisfaction. PhenoTips received an Employee Satisfaction Score of 88.94%, the third-highest score of all winners announced.

“We are thrilled to have received our second employer award of 2024. These achievements are credited to our exceptional team, all driven by shared objectives to enhance the lives of patients living with genetic conditions. This synergy enables our technology to advance in tandem with the evolving field of medical genetics. Central to our mission as pioneers in genomic mainstreaming is fostering work environments in which employees feel supported, heard, valued, and respected,” said PhenoTips’ CEO Dr. Pawel Buczkowicz.

“Nothing is more valuable to a company than the team behind it,” said PhenoTips’ Head of Human Resources Terry Bettencourt. “At PhenoTips, we are committed to building a collaborative work environment that honours our differences while connecting our remote team to the community we are co-creating. It’s our objective that each team member feels their goals are supported, their personhood is recognized, and their needs are met. We are proud to receive this award, and the 88.94% Employee Satisfaction Score, as it indicates we are achieving this objective.”

As the company enters its second decade, PhenoTips will continue empowering employees to shape the company’s culture and future within the empathetic and compassionate work environment that has garnered the company two awards in 2024. PhenoTips is encouraged to continue fostering employee success, alongside the growth of both the team and the genomics space, and looks forward to sharing the results with the company’s partners and clients.
